Looks like it will be very helpful for my husband who has a muscle disease and has a hard time standing up. It looks well made and sturdy.
I bought this Kaboost with myself in mind, not a child. I have trouble with my knees. And getting up and down from a chair is a chore. Well not anymore. With my kaboost it gives me just the right height for easy access from the chair.
I recently bought Kaboost for my great granddaughter who is two after seeing an add on the Internet I thought it was perfect solution for her, however she is not using it because she thinks the chair is too high off the ground, HOWEVER my great grand son who is three asked me if it was ok if he uses that chair if "his sissy" didn't want to use it and he loves it!!
So long story short I'm really glad I bought it and will buy another one when she gets a little bigger.
I give this devise a thumbs up And five stars!
It's great. I actually purchased it for my 90 year old mom. She is so tiny (under 4 ft 8") I needed something to boost her at the dining table. I put felt pieces on the bottom of each leg so I can slide her in and out. It has certainly solved the problem.
My kids are all grown, but when I saw the Kaboost I knew it was just what I needed. I'm pretty much incapacitated with arthritis in both my knees, and getting up from an ordinary chair is painful. But raise the chair with Kaboost and I'm up and around without difficulty. I keep it in my car for when I'm visiting my kids, whose furniture is not arthritis friendly. Thanks Kaboost for such a neat solution!
It is great, for seniors with bad knees. Excellent for more than children.
Easy to install. A chair is easier to get in and and off when one is higher. Easier on knees.
Also, legs are high enough to exercise legs freely.
Actually bought this for my mother who has lost muscle ton in her legs and has a hard time standing up from a low chair. With raising the chair a bit higher, it now puts less stress on her legs and she doesn't need assistance to sit and then stand.
I purchased this Kaboost on a recommendation from a friend, I have a rare nurological disease called Inclusion Body Myositis which makes it very difficult to get up from most chairs, the Kaboost raises the chair high enough that I can safely get up and down by myself, have recommended to others in my support group.
I bought the Kaboost to use at my place of business. I often work at my front counter on a counter-height chair. This is fine for most work, but when I have to do a lot of work on my laptop, I am sitting just a little too low for proper posture. I purchased the Kaboost and put it under my chair and, voila, the perfect height for proper posture when working on the computer! I have since shared it with friends who have small children and they think it is wonderful!
We bought this for my dad who has trouble getting up and down into chairs. It is a good height and very stable. I do wish the arms extended a little more for non dining chairs. We will most likely be getting another one for a different chair in the house.
This is the COOLEST THING EVER!!!!!!!!!!! I HIGHLY recommend this. Makes a great Booster Seat, and also, makes a GREAT chair for me, when making things in my kitchen!!! It is higher like a stool, and has a back for this Grammy to lean on. I bought it for my granddaughter when she is at my house, and I LOVE IT TOO!!! Great for me. So easy to put on and take off if needed. Great product!
This booster is FABULOUS! It is EASY to put on and take off of chairs, takes two minutes. It is STURDY. And lightweight. I actually ordered it for my 85 year old mother, because she says her kitchen chairs are too low. I figured if it didn't work out for her, our 2 year old granddaughter could use it. Win/Win Unfortunately, the lowest rise is a little too high for my mother to use comfortably and still scoot up under the table. If you made a different model, probably 1-1/2 inch, I would definitely buy another one.
I am a grandma and I purchased it for myself! I have a bad knee and it helps me easily get out of my chair. Wish I had one for every room!
The description, the pictures, none of it lies. It's exactly what you think. I have not traveled with it but think it would travel well. I use it on my stool at work to gain extra height. I weigh around 180lbs
I bought this boost chair for my husband who has Parkinsons, and as he has trouble getting up from a regular chair this height adjustment makes it so he can get up off his chair without being assisted. My sister in law has one in her house for her elderly father and it works wonderful not only for him, but also for kids like you advertise. Her style of booster chair is the old style, but both work as advertised
Actually I bought this for myself I am handicap and have difficulty getting up from a chair I find this Kaboost just gives me enough height to rise on my own. I would recommend this to anyone in my situation. However check the chair before you order, some have wooden design that might not fit.
Great for grandkids and bad backs!
We in my family are tall (6'-6'10") and rising from a regular height seat can be laborious. I also work in a nursing home and thought the Kaboost might be helpful for others who find it difficult to stand from a short four-legged chair. I ordered one to use at home and to try at the nursing home. I love it for own use. It is stable - doesn't move when you back up to sit down. It won't help, of course, on chairs that are on "ski-like" legs, only those with 4 individual legs.
I haven't tried in with patients yet. Value of reading reviews- I didn't realize it had two heights. I'll go try the other one now.
This chair booster was easy to install and perfect for me, since I have trouble getting out of a regular height chair. I am not a child and this product should not be limited to children's use. Adults sometimes need a higher seat. This product is nice because when it is on the chair, the chair can be moved for vacuuming, etc. and the devise stays secure. It is fairly light weight and I plan to keep one in my car to use at my daughter's house.
I actually bought this for my 102-year-old mother to raise up a chair in her living room so she can get up and down easier. It works good, but I wish it stretched a bit further.
This idea was interesting to me because I wanted to sit just a few inches higher at my own table and I wasn't getting satisfaction from extra cushions. The Kaboost advertisement stated that the appliance was made to hold up to 300 pounds safely so with quick addition I determined that combining my weight and the weight of my chair I was well within the weight limit. Kaboost was nicely packaged, came to me in the time frame stated that it would, and once out of the box it was easily installed onto the legs of my dining room chair. I like it a lot! And bonus for me, when one of the grandkids or great-grandkids come to visit we don't have to stack cushions on a chair for them to sit comfortably at my table.....I share my Kaboost!
And yes, you do need to allow a little extra space to get around the appliance...or you will stub your toes as it does protrude a bit beyond the chair legs. Hit your foot a few times, though, and you do learn to walk around it.
I bought 3 of them to raise my barstools to a 34" height to go along with my remodeled kitchen. I wasn't sure at first, but they really steampunk the barstools and they are non slip and very stable. Great addition to my bar! Now the grown-ups can sit at the right height too!
Bought this for my mother to put on her chair in the kitchen. She has a hard time getting up from lower chairs. It is perfect and she loves it
This is such a great product I'm going to order another one. In addition to being a booster seat for my grandchildren, I use it also because I have a short upper body and sitting at a table makes me feel like a child...not with the Kaboost though!
LOVE this I bought three for the kids but I'm buying another one because I'm short and I love the heigh
I really appreciate that there are two height options. I see that it is marketed for kids but the truth is this: I use the higher side for my 2 year old grand daughter's visits. But in between, I use the lower setting for me! I am 5 ft. 2 inches and with this boost, I can use my computer at the kitchen table or my desk and it does not flare up my carpal tunnel because I am higher up. Just as the doctor recommended. wrist and elbow pain gone. Voila!!! Thanks! You should market this to doctors! Just sayin'
Actually I am going to be using this as well as my grandchild as I have trouble getting up from low chairs
This is a awesome product. Sturdy and works great. I'm going to order another and attach it to my chair I use for crafts and painting. It's more comphy working higher height. Thank you for a great product
This is a nice idea, but we did not use it for children! Our company manages residential group homes for disabled adults and one our program directors found this product online and decided it would work for one on the individuals that we serve in her home. It has been in place only a week, but reports are good at this time.
This device is amazing. I use it for my husband who is partially disable and has a very difficult time rising from a normal chair. The Kaboost gives him just a little extra height to assist him getting up from the kitchen table! Thank you for creating such an awesome device!!
iI am tall and needed my salon chair to be higher then it was able. Was not sure this would work because of the round base. Well it is fantastic!! My problem solved. It's a strong secure fit. My work day is a pleasure not having to bend over. I had to make sure it was positioned square to be safe on something round.Thank you!!
This product saved me a lot of money rather than buying new stools. It is firm and strong. I highly recommend it
We got this for my husband, who has a knee injury that makes it difficult for him to get up from a normal-height chair. It works beautifully, and he can get up without assistance. (I notice the packaging says "up to 300 pounds.") I don't think it would be as easy to carry around as the video shows, though. It's very sturdy and doesn't slip. At first I didn't realize there were two heights, depending on which side is up. We're using the taller height.
This is advertised for kids. But I love it!! Am only 5 foot tall and have hated my dining room chairs since day one. Always feel like I am sitting in a hole! Now I can sit at the table and be comfortable. Should be advertised for older folks like me and shorties!!!
I was having trouble finding a shower chair high enough for a tall, disabled person -- and tried to Kaboost to see if it might work with the standard, formed plastic chair he already had. It expanded to the right dimensions, holds the chair securely, and gives just the height boost needed to make his handicapped shower arrangements safer. This use may not be the target market . . . but Kaboost turned out to be a very helpful tool for the taller elderly as well. Thanks!
For a child? No way!! I bought this for myself as I am so short waisted that the table about comes up to my armpits! Not kidding!! Yes, an inch or so shorter would have been better but now I feel like the Queen of the Table! Happy I got this for myself.
I order a Kaboost for myself ...I'm handicapped and I can not get out of regular chairs . The Kaboost raises me up just right ..I am 250 pounds ,and the Kaboost holds me with no problem ..I ordered another for when I go out to eat , I can put it on the chairs at restaurants and not have to have help getting out of my chair. The Kaboost is a lifesaver for me. My 3 and 5 year old grandkids loves it also .VERY VERY PLEASED !!!!
I purchased 2 Kaboost's. One for my 2 year old grandson (who had the biggest smile the first time he sat at the table like a big kid) and one for myself. I have severe osteoarthritis in my knees and it's gotten much harder to rise from sitting, over the past year. I can now sit at the table and not struggle to get up when I'm done. The only thing that would be even better, making Kaboost perfect, would be to make one that is 1/2 to 2 inches shorter. Or, I suppose I could just cut 2 inches off of my chair legs! But, in all seriousness, I believe you have the knowledge and power to expand your product base. There are many more people out there than you may have originally thought of, who could greatly benefit with this product!....,,,,, I love mine and so does my grandson. :)
This is great for kids and adults. Versatile with two different heights to choose from. I have had thoughts to gift this item since we love it so much.
Believe it or not... I am a small adult (5') and bought this product for myself! It works perfectly. A very simple design very easy to use. I wish the product were less clunky-looking. But not having to hike my elbows up to make use of my office desk is worth it. Love this product and there are no children in the house.
I bought it for me and an little but not a kid. So to make it easier to move, I'll put sliders on the bottom. I didn't see at first that each support could be pulled longer, but it does and will adjust to hold any dining-type chair I can imagine.
Kaboost has applications for more than a childs chair. We have two bar chairs that were the ideal height for our last kitchen counter. After moving, they were to low. They were expensive, and I love the quality and look of the chairs. For the last four years, they sat in the kitchen, used only for extra conversational seating. They couldn't be used for eating at the counter since they were too low. I kept trying to find a way to raise them to present counter height and when I saw Kaboost, I figured I'd try it out. They work very well; are stable, and are the right height for eating at the counter. Negatives - they certainly are not as attractive as the original chairs (but they are now functional) also the bar chairs are heavy oak and are tough to slide in and out (for this I have ordered felt pads and hope this will help) I imagine this is a plus for a childs chair and adds stability. In the end, this is a really stable solution to raising a chair Very glad I found them. They were very easy to put on, and are very well made. We used the bar chairs quite a bit over the holidays for a number of people and are very satisfied. Thanks to the inventor, a really unique solution.
The chair is for me an adult who is very short, Love this!
but for mature adults who have trouble getting out of regular height chairs without arms. This device raises the chairs just enough that the older person can gently slide out of the chair instead of having to rock to get momentum to raise up out of a chair. Thank you for the extra sturdiness of the non slip feet as well.
I purchased the Kaboost for my elderly father so that he would sit higher at their kitchen table. It accomplished that goal perfectly. The only drawback to the Kaboost is that it does not slide easily across the vinyl flooring. With limited arm use/strength, my father needs help to slide the chair out or move the table so that he can get out of the chair with the Kaboost. They have tried sliders to assist with that movement, but it would be great if Kaboost had something that slid easier on the bottom of their product.
Excellent product, I have a small elderly woman who needs to sit higher and the Kaboost did the job with ease
This is great, not only did this work when the grandchildren came over but my Mom who is elderly and very short used it and we didn't have to put pillows on her chair which made her feel uncomfortable that she might slide off her chair. Thank you for the great product.
I am a very short woodturner and I find turning while sitting is relaxing. I put a simple plastic outdoor chair on the Kaboost and it is very stable and easy to use. Great product. Thanks for thinking of this.
Bought this for myself (adult) since all chairs are too low for me to easily get up. Love it. Didn't realize that it can be used for 2 different heights by flipping it over. First choice was too high so checked the instructions and, sure enough, flipped it over and it's much better. Cannot be easily slid to and from the table (slip proof) which is good and bad. Appears to be tip proof as well. Does not mar chair legs.
I actually purchased the Kaboost, not for my child, but for myself as I have a very rare muscle wasting disease called Inclusion Body Myositis. I am unable to get up from low chairs due to lack of strength in my quads, arms and core. Raising the dining room chairs with the Kaboost has made a big difference to me! I sat at our Thanksgiving table on my heightened "Kaboost chair " like a queen on a thrown! I have shared my experience with others who have the same disease and they were interested in ordering one as well. We are always looking for products to make our life easier!
While everyone else is buying this for children and I will certainly use it for my Grandchildren, I bought it for me. I am a quilter and when I travel to classes and have to put my machine on a table it is always too high for me to sew comfortably. I have tried sitting on pillows and stacking chairs but these solutions just don't work well. The Kaboost at the lowest setting is perfect. It holds up to 300 pounds so it is definitely made for adults too. I love it and so do many of my Guild friends. Some people need to elevate their foot pedal a little but that is easy. I would definitely recommend the Kaboost and suggest you look at it for other applications besides children.
While this product is for small children. I use it for my husband who had back surgery and is unable to sit low in a regular chair. By sitting higher he can get up on his own. I use this on a chair in the living room and he is able to get up without assistance. I can also use it for grandchildren that come over. Thank You!
On Thanksgiving this chair was used by a 3 year old to eat at the table with fam. It was used by a 30 year old female who is 5'11" to sit comfortably with her feet flat on the floor not always able to in standard height chairs. It was also used by a 70+ year old man who is 275+lbs. It made it easier to get up and down because it was not bar height but taller than a standard kitchen chair. Overall this booster was a huge success at my house. It is simple to put on the chair and can travel in the future with us to others homes. Great products and it need no improvement.
We bought this for my 89 yr old father. The product is well made. Had to use it on a slightly lower chair than the regular dining room chair. But it has made such a difference in his mobility. He can get up and down easily. Bought it in the bright green because of the high visibility. As he put it, he needs every edge he can get. Be aware of weight limits, and realize it may sit higher than you think. It doesn't seem to be an issue, at least not yet, but you may need to put felt or something on the feet for ease of movement. Contacted the company before buying, asking about using it for an adult. They sent a very timely response, which was very helpful in making a decision to purchase this product
Sturdy enough for disabled adult (me). I put 1 on my dinner chair and 1 outside on my wicker deck chair. Makes them much easier to get up from. We also raised the couch with 4" cement blocks
Purchased this item for my ninty five year old father. I was amazed quality of this product. It did the perfect job raising his kitchen table chair up to where he is better able to raise up out of his chair to leave the table. I would very much recommend this product to the young or old. Great product!!!! Thanks
Love it. This way, I can keep using the same dining chair instead of a special kids one that doesn't match the other chairs. I homeschool and my kids study at the kitching dining table, so this helps them to be at the right height.
