SMART SHOPPER; Beat the booster seat blues
Marsha Roth

Bye-bye, high chairs and tantrums. Now your toddler can sit just like the big kids. And when your toddler is happy, then all is well with the world.
The Kaboost portable chair booster works from the bottom up. It attaches to the bottom of almost every four-legged chair in a matter of seconds.

Made of heavy-duty plastic but weighing only 3½ pounds, the booster was designed for children ages 20 months to 6 years and will hold up to 300 pounds. It was manufactured to meet or exceed all applicable U.S. and international safety standards.

The booster is suitable for all even surfaces, including carpet, tile and wood. Its rubberized feet remain attached to the legs even when the chair is moved.

To attach Kaboost, simply stretch its legs and fit onto the chair. Spring-loaded arms firmly grip chair legs. No assembly is required.

There are two height choices, 4 ½ inches for younger children and 3 ¼ for older. Flip the chair from one side to the other to change heights. Check out directions and more information on the company Web site: www.kaboost.com .

Because Kaboost is such a cinch to use, it can travel to restaurants and Grandma's house with ease. A special carrying bag is also available.

The Kaboost costs $30 and is available at Babies "R" Us, 4621 Shelbyville Road; 896-9994 .
